Karkidaka Month Hanuman Offering: Write Sri Rama Jayam and Offer Aval on Wednesdays

In a new devotional video, viewers are taught a simple yet powerful offering to Lord Hanuman during the holy month of Karkidaka. The video claims that this single offering can remove obstacles and grant wishes quickly, stating that devotees can perform it at home or at a nearby temple without elaborate arrangements.

The first part of the practice involves buying a new notebook and a pen. After taking a bath each night, devotees should write ‘Sri Rama Jayam’ three times with full devotion. If a day is missed, it can be made up later. The notebook should be completed and then submitted before Lord Hanuman at a local temple.

The second part is the offering of aval, or beaten rice, which is said to be one of Hanuman’s favorite offerings. On any Wednesday of Karkidaka month, devotees can go to a temple with Hanuman as an upa devatha and offer aval along with a betel leaf garland in the name of their children. Purity and a vegetarian diet are emphasized during this period.

The video also recommends chanting ‘Om Ham Hanumate Namaha’ 108 times daily after lighting the evening lamp. This is believed to bring success, wealth, and relief from Saturn’s afflictions. For those unable to visit a temple, the offering can be made at home before a Hanuman picture.

The practice should ideally continue for three consecutive months, selecting one Wednesday each month. The video urges mothers to apply the sindooram received from the temple to their children’s foreheads and to share the video with other devotees, ending with ‘Sri Rama Jayam’.
